Why the Chimes Rang Christmas Pageant

This timeless short story, first published in 1909 by Raymond MacDonald Alden, tells the story of a grand old church with beautiful chimes which mysteriously ring out every Christmas Eve whenever someone places an especially pleasing gift on the altar as an offering, and how a miracle occurs after the chimes have fallen silent for years.

Performed by Church Farm School students in period dress and enhanced by seasonal organ and choral music by the CFS Choir, “Why the Chimes Rang” is a time-honored tradition.

This event will be livestreamed on Friday, December 13 for those that cannot attend in person.
